Ditched iTunes...

Yup. I did just that. Good software but when it eats up 5x the memory that winamp does, it just has to go. iTunes thought it needed 15mb of memory to run. All I really used it for was mp3 playback and Winamp does that just fine for just 3 mb of memory. Granted, I'll still use iTunes for CD ripping, but it will NOT run in the background....
