Moved on up...

Like the wife said, the move went well. Ok, it went well except for that elusive bag of screws and such. But like was already mentioned, they were found and now there is a giant entertainment center adorning our wall. Greatness.

The phone.

Ok, SBC did a good job of activating our phone number and setting us up on Friday. Nevermind that the phone number never rang at the apt. "We show that the the work order was completed on Friday. We'll send out a repair man this weekend. You will hear from us by Monday.". Great, sounds good. Monday came and still no dialtone. I then picked up the (cell) phone and called SBC. Turns out that there is an independant contractor (per the Apt. complexs policies) that handles the internal wiring to the apts. So I call the contractor and inform them of the problem. Long story short (I know, too late for that), THe phone came on at 3:00 Monday afternoon. My gripe is why didn't SBC tell me in the first place that another contractor had to finish the hookup?

Bigger is better.

So the new place is quite a bit larger. 1200 sq. ft. vs 1000 sq. ft. It is really strange, we aren't cramped in the bedrooms or living rooms. There is just a LOT of space. Time for more stuff...
